Šumarska fitocenologija

IZ PREDGOVORA:

Prošlo je 45 godina otkada je kao nastavni predmet šumarska fitocenologija uvedena na Šumarski fakultet Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Već dugi niz godina postoji potreba da se napiše udžbenik iz šumarske fitocenologije, kako bi se studentima šumarstva dao jedan suvremeni udžbenik kojim bi se mogli služiti u svakodnevnom životu. Skripte iz šumarske fitocenologije izdavana su 1959, 1967, 1976. i 1979.godine, pa smo zbog toga odlučili da napišemo udžbenik. Taj nimalo lagan zadatak počeli smo ostvarivati unazad pet godina, a pisanje smo završili u siječnju 1986. godine.

Ovim udžbenikom obradili smo šumarsku fitocenologiju u dva dijela, i to opći i posebni dio. U "Općem dijelu" prikazani su opći pojmovi koji su preduvjet za poznavanje šumarske fitocenologije kao primijenjene znanstvene ekološko-biološke discipline, čiji je obujam prikazan u sadržaju. U "Posebnom dijelu" obradjena je struktura i sinekološko-gospodarsko značenje sistematskih jedinica šumske vegetacije Jugoslavije, i to samo najvažnijih za našu praksu i onih koje studenti trebaju poznavati. Fitocenološki opis šumskih zajednica dan je prema autoru označenom u latinskom nazivu.

It has been 45 years since forestry phytocenology was introduced as a subject at the Faculty of Forestry, University of Zagreb. For many years there has been a need to write a textbook in forestry phytocenology, in order to give forestry students a modern textbook that they could use in everyday life. Scripts from forest phytocenology were published in 1959, 1967, 1976 and 1979, so we decided to write a textbook. We started to accomplish this not at all easy task five years ago, and we finished writing in January 1986.

With this textbook, we have dealt with forest phytocenology in two parts, the general and the special part. The "General Part" presents general concepts that are a prerequisite for knowledge of forest phytocenology as an applied scientific ecological-biological discipline, the scope of which is presented in the content. The "Special Part" deals with the structure and synecological-economic significance of the systematic units of forest vegetation of Yugoslavia, and only the most important for our practice and those that students need to know. The phytocenological description of forest communities is given according to the author marked in the Latin name.
